Perfect for those who enjoy some walking and want to explore Osaka
Loved the all you can eat breakfast breads! Loved the happy hour for drinks (though we didn't make avail of this)

What was the highlight of HOTEL RELIEF Namba Daikokuchou
Relaxing stay in a good value hotel
We did not regret deciding to stay in a quieter location from Dotonburi after walking around that area at night and seeing the crowds. The neighborhood was peaceful with so many conveniences nearby (Family Mart on the ground floor, multiple restaurants and other convenience stores around, nearby metro station). We thought the freebies (bread, drinks, ice cream, alcohol) might be too good to be true, but they were exactly as advertised. Actually, the bread really exceeded expectations. They also allowed outside food to be heated and eaten in the dining hall. The hotel rooms were spacious enough considering the others we looked at online within the same price range.
There's only one elevator to service 10 floors. It wasn't too much of a hassle though since it always seemed to be available whenever we needed to ride it.

Clean and on the more spacious end. Convenient and worth the price.
For a Japanese hotel, the room is quite large! They also had a lot of complimentary drink services as well as a morning bread buffet for breakfast included in the cost. Checkin and checkout was easy and they were kind enough to hold our bags for us both before checkin and after checkout. The bed was quite big, everything was clean, perfect for our two night stay. A train station was super close by (maybe 3 min walk) and the express train to Kansai Airport (KIX) was only about a 10-13 min walk away.
The room was a little noisy since it was street side but as a very light sleeper I thought it was mostly fine. There is just one elevator and we were on the 9th floor, so checkout time got a bit crowded but it was not a big deal. We were later warned by some locals that this area is a bit on the seedy end, but "seedy" in Japan is incredibly tame -- mostly it was less fun and had less interesting shops/restaurants than other parts of town.

Affordable and pleasant stay
The location is 1pm away from Osaka Nankai station and Namba area.
It is a quiet area and the hotel is near the fire station, every night you could hear the siren since the hotel is facing the Main Street. It can be quite noisy thou.
